Nuneaton Town boss, Tommy Wright, was a happy man after seeing his side return to winning ways on Saturday with a 3-1 victory at Boston United.
“We reacted exactly how I wanted us to,” he said. “We’ve been in a bit of a rut just lately and questions have been asked about the players’ mentality, body language and will-to-win.
“I asked them for a big reaction and to show some fight, which they did and it was a big three points.
“It has restored some faith with a much-improved individual and team performance. I was particularly pleased to see Ashley Chambers opening his account for the club. He was superb all afternoon, whilst Devon Kelly-Evans was a joy to watch and Ben O’Hanlon reacted the way I hoped from being dropped the week before by putting in an impressive performance. Also a special mention must go to Tom Elliott, who continued his fine form and is showing everyone what he is all about as a player.
“We now have three back-to-back home games, starting on Tuesday against Gloucester City, and I want us to start chasing the teams in the top half.”
