Vanarama National League North club Nuneaton Town have confirmed that manager Kevin Wilson has left the club.
Former Corby Town manager Tommy Wright has been appointed as the club’s new manager, with Wilson’s First Team Coach Steve Chettle staying on to work alongside the former Darlington winger.
Despite high hopes going into the season Nuneaton sit just one place above the National League North drop zone after winning only three of their first eighteen games.
That led the club to part company with former Chelsea and Northern Ireland striker Wilson, with the news being broken with a statement released on Friday morning.
It read “Kevin Wilson has been relieved of his duties at Nuneaton Town Football Club with immediate effect.
Tommy Wright has been appointed first team manager with Steve Chettle staying on as first team coach. The pair are taking training with the players this morning ahead of the trip to FC United of Manchester tomorrow”
