Yaxley manager Ian Benjamin has resigned from his post with immediate effect.

Club President Jeff Lenton paid tribute to the professionalism of Benjamin and put on record his thanks for his efforts at the club.

Player Andy Furnell has been put in charge for the Cuckoos remaining first team matches of the season.

Before leaving the club, Benjamin said the following to Yaxleyfc.com

I am sad to have to tell you all that I have this morning resigned from Yaxley FC .

“When you are managing a football club one of the most important things is that the Committee is fully behind you. I have found out that they are not, so it is time for me to move on.

I would like to put on record my thanks to the club for offering the opportunity to manage Yaxley FC and I would especially like to thank my staff and the players for their efforts while I have been at the club”
