Darren Sarll admits his initial Yeovil Town recruitment drive won’t be completed until well into the Vanarama National League season.
The Glovers have brought in six players but lost Omar Sowunmi, Tom James and Gary Warren this summer; meaning a first-team squad of only 16.
It’s been two weeks since any new signings have been announced, although a number of trialists have featured in the pre-season games thus far.
Sarll has put in “five or six” offers for players but, giving an update after the 2-0 win over Taunton Town on Tuesday night, he said none of those have proved fruitful yet.
“The deals we’ve offered are me on tip toes, financially,” he told YTFC TV. “I’ve got no room to kind of increase those offers. This is what we’re offering, this is what we are and I move on quite quickly.
“If they ever drag on, they don’t tend to happen. It’s regularly clearing up those smashed plates that have been spinning, setting a couple on and starting to spin those.”
