Macclesfield Town have completed the signing of experienced goalkeeper Scott Flinders on a loan deal from York City.
The 30-year-old who boasts over 350 league starts has signed for the Silkmen on an initial one-month deal.
Flinders began his career with Barnsley before a move to Crystal Palace in the summer of 2006. With first-team chances limited at Selhurst Park, Flinders would have loan moves at the likes of Gillingham, Brighton, Yeovil, Blackpool and Falkirk over the following few seasons before completing permanent switch to Hartlepool in 2009.
He would be a regular for Hartlepool over the next six years, making 284 appearances before joining York City in June 2015. He was virtually ever present in League Two for York last season and started this season as the number one goalkeeper for the Club.
He featured in a 1-0 win for York over Macclesfield last month and will now look to help the Silkmen as they look to build on their bright start to the National League season.
