The teenager, who played four games for York’s first team last season, was offered a new contract by Martin Gray’s side. The wide midfielder has, however, opted to moved to the Clarets and will link up with their Under-23 squad.
He told Burnley’s club website: “I wanted to gain first-team football and be involved in a full-time environment and having to play men’s football, I knew it would be a good experience.
“I had a few clubs interested in me at the start of pre-season but once I heard Burnley were, I just wanted to come to Burnley. The new training facilities are unbelievable.
“They are definitely some of the best I have seen. Also, I know a couple of the lads here already so it’s nice.”
