Experienced defender Ryan Cresswell has been training with York City.
The 31-year-old former Rotherham United player left Eastleigh by mutual consent just before Christmas. The new management team at York City of Steve Watson and assistant Micky Cummins have been targeting new additions as they look to haul the side up the National League North table.
Another vastly experienced defender has been confirmed as a new signing this morning, with David Mirfin joining on loan from Mansfield Town. Former Gateshead gaffer Watson said yesterday that two additions were in the pipeline, but there is still the opportunity for the existing squad players to safeguard their future at the club.
