York City have bolstered their striking options ahead of tomorrow’s National League North match at Salford City by taking Torquay United striker James Gray on a 28-day loan deal.

The former Northern Ireland Under-21 international, now 25, goes straight into namesake Martin Gray’s squad.




The 5ft 10in forward, who was born in Yarm, started his career in Middlesbrough’s youth ranks and turned out 11 times for Darlington and nine for Kettering Town before stepping back into the Football League with Accrington Stanley in August 2012 and breaking his scoring duck.
