The planned Yorkshire Trophy tournament to be hosted by Brighouse Town is still set to go ahead say the club.

Plans were shared early last month for the end-of-season competition, with eight Toolstation Northern Counties East League clubs among the 12 sides to feature.

Brighouse have said today in an update: “The tournament dates have altered so that the tournament takes place from the 17th May when fans can attend stadiums according to government guidance.

“The teams in the tournament have been altered as well due to some teams pulling out. The final teams will be revealed in the coming days.

“The number of fans that can attend each stadia is dependent on the size of each club’s stadium capacity and it’s half of that capacity in which the clubs will be allowed to admit.”
