Gateshead have re-signed goalkeeper Brendan Pearson on a 30-day youth loan from Newcastle United.
The 18-year-old spent four weeks at the International Stadium earlier in the campaign, figuring in the Reserves’ 3-1 defeat at York City.
Pearson has been on the books at St James’ Park since the age of 10, and featured against Gateshead last summer as the Heed beat Peter Beardsley’s U21s in a behind-closed-doors friendly game.
The youngster will travel with the first-team to Torquay United this weekend, with regular goalkeeping understudy Shaun MacDonald sidelined after sustaining an injury in training.
