Seth Nana Twumasi has agreed terms to stay with Maidstone United for the 2017/18 season.
The defender made his Stones debut in late September in the opening round of the Kent Reliance Senior Cup and went on to make thirty league and cup appearances.
Initially signed on a non-contract basis, he agreed a deal in January to take him through until the end of the season.
Despite attracting interest from elsewhere, Twumasi’s very happy to be extending his stay at the Gallagher Stadium. He said: “I came in for one game but they say everything happens for a reason. It turned out to be something I’ve really enjoyed and I am glad it happened. I can see this club going places and I want to be part of that.
“If we can keep the group of lads together that finished the season, we’ve got a good chance to kick on next season and I’d like to see us aim for play-offs.”
Manager Jay Saunders added: “Seth made a big difference when he arrived last autumn. I didn’t want to lose that experience out of the side, so I am very pleased to get this deal over the line. There’s more to come from him and I am sure we’ll see that with the move to daytime training from the summer”.
